This week the team at Access2 Human Resources took on the challenge to put their general knowledge to the test in the battle for local pride (and pizza!) in Spire FM’s War of the Works!
Access2 Human Resources were up against strong competition in the form of The White Hart Hotel, who aced their questions on Monday with 10/10! That certainly unnerved the team a bit! Fortunately we kept calm and managed a very respectable 9/10 on the first day.
If you aren’t familiar with the segment on Spire FM, each team has 60 seconds to answer 10 questions, which are a real mix of topical news stories and general knowledge.
The scores mid-week kept both teams neck-and-neck, with Access2 Human Resources taking a lead by 1 into the final round on Friday.
Managing director Dan Jenkins said:
“Heading into the final round on Friday the team pleased to be one point ahead, but given the performance all week we knew The White Hart could pip us to the post in the final.”
Colleagues from across the Access2 Human Resources Solutions Group tuned in for the competition each day to support the team in Salisbury.
For the final quiz the whole team at Access2 Human Resources was present. Radio presenter commented that this week had been one of the highest scoring battles the competition had ever had, so there was a real chance of both team featuring on the leader board.
A winning finish
On Friday, The White Heart Hotel got 8/10 leaving Access2 Human Resources needing 8 to bring home the pizza. And didn’t they do well… with a knock-out 10/10 in the final round!! With a final score of 45 the Access2 Human Resources team enter the ‘War of the Works’ leader board in joint 1st place with Alabare Christian Care.
The team thoroughly enjoyed their winning pizza on Friday afternoon!
